Ingredients
- 2 1/4 c. warm water (not hot, but very warm)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 envelopes active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 6 1/2 c. sifted flour
Directions

1In mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, sugar, salt and olive oil.

2Mix well.

3Gradually work in enough flour to make a soft dough that leaves the sides of the bowl and does not stick to hands.

4Turn onto a lightly floured board.

5Knead until smooth and elastic.

6Place in greased bowl.

7Cover and let set 20 minutes. Shape dough into balls about the size of oranges and flatten slightly.

8Place the balls on floured surface and keep covered with a dish towel to prevent dough from drying.

9Let set 5 minutes.
