  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 c. instant mashed potato flakes
  • 1 1/4 c. melted margarine
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan
  • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 5 or 6 large mushrooms, diced
  • 1/2 sweet red pepper, diced
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp. Sloppy Joe seasoning
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°.

    Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan. Combine melted margarine, flour, potato flakes, milk, oregano and Parmesan.

    Stir until it forms a ball.

    Knead a few times to smooth out the dough.

    Divide in half.

    Press half into bottom and up sides of a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Do not leave any holes for filling to leak through.
