Ingredients

  • frozen pizza dough
  • 1 lb. ground beef or 1 lb. hot Italian sausage or mix of both
  • 1 lb. mild American cheese or sharp Cheddar, coarsely grated
  • 2 eggs plus 1 egg yolk
  • 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley

Directions

    Defrost pizza dough in refrigerator overnight.

    Spread flat as if for a jelly roll.

    Saute ground beef and/or sausage until brown.

    Set aside to cool.

    Mix grated cheese with eggs, egg yolk, Parmesan cheese and parsley.

    Mix all together with meat.

    Spread on pizza dough and roll up as a jelly roll.

    Shape in half moon, seam side down.

    Cover with remaining egg white.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
