Ingredients

  • 2 lb. (1-inch) round steak
  • 1/4 c. enriched flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. fat (oleo)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed oregano
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can seasoned tomato sauce (1 c.)
  • 1 (5 1/2 oz.) can pizza sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar

Directions

    Combine the flour, salt and pepper and pound into steak.

    Brown slowly on both sides in hot fat.

    Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over meat.

    Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.

    Place in baking dish and cover.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until tender.
