- 1 c. butter
- 1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
- 2 c. bread flour
- 5 eggs
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until very light and creamy, then add the eggs one at a time, and lastly the flour well sifted.

2Fill paper lined mold about 1/2 full and bake in an oven at 300° for large cake and 325° for 1 pound cake.

3If cake cracks on top during baking, this is caused by using too strong flour.

4In that case, use 1/2 cake flour and 1/2 bread flour.
