Ingredients

  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. minced green pepper
  • 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 c. milk (1 c. broth may be used)
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 Tbsp. pimento
  • meat from 2 fryers or 5 lb. hen

    Boil chicken until meat falls off bone.

    Cook celery in broth. Saute

    onions

    and pepper in butter until tender. Add flour and milk; stir well until thickened.

    Add soup, stirring constantly until thickened (like a white sauce).

    Add chicken, celery and pimento.

    Salt to taste.

    Serve over already baked Pepperidge Farm pastry shells.
