Ingredients

  • 1 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 t. red pepper flakes crushed
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 2 Tablespoons mustard seed
  • 2 cloves garlic - sliced (not crushed or mashed)
  • 1 small onion sliced thinly
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped crystallized ginger
  • 1 c. white raisins
  • 20 prune/Italian plums - pitted & quartered
  • Simmer for 45-50 minutes until thickened and mushy.
  • Put in preserve jars.
