- 2-1/2 lb. firm, ripe plums
- 3-1/2 cup granulated sugar
Directions

1Rinse plums and remove pits.

2Finely chop to make 4 cups.

3Place plums in 4 quart pot; stir in sugar until well blended.

4Let stand one hour.

5Wash 4 half pint jars.

6Keep hot until needed.

7Prepare lids as manufacturer directs.

8Bring plum mixture to boil over medium heat; stirring frequently.

9Continue cooking uncovered and stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 20 minutes.

10Ladle hot jam into one hot jar at a time; leaving 1/4-inch head space.

11Wipe jar rim with a clean, damp cloth.

12Attach lid.

13Fill and close remaining jars.

14Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes at sea level altitude.
