  • 1 c. chopped suet
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 c. seeded raisins
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. currants
  • 1/2 c. chopped citron
  • 1/2 c. hot milk
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/3 c. orange juice
  • 5 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix all ingredients and half fill a mold or a 9 x 5 x 2-inch loaf pan.

    Steam for 4 hours.

    Cool and chill.
