Ingredients

  • 1 chicken
  • 1 small cabbage
  • 2 potatoes, quartered
  • 2 chorizos de Bilbao, cut into desired size
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 slices ham or tocino
  • 3/4 c. cooked garbanzos
  • 8 Tbsp. lard
  • 1/2 kilo pork
  • 6 saba bananas
  • 5 ripe tomatoes or 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 onion, minced
  • salt to taste

Directions

    Cut the chicken and pork into serving pieces.

    Bring to a boil and simmer with ham and chorizos until tender.

    Season with salt. Remove meat from casserole and use meat stock to boil in cabbage and potatoes.

    Cook bananas separately.
