  • 8 c. popped corn (1/2 c. unpopped)
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. white sugar
  • 3/4 c. butter

Directions

    Put popped corn in a large bowl.

    Combine all remaining ingredients, except butter, in a saucepan.

    Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring often.

    Cook, stirring constantly, to 250° on candy thermometer.

    Remove from heat; stir in butter until melted and slowly pour over popcorn, stirring to coat.

    Cool slightly.

    Butter hands; shape into 3-inch balls and place on waxed paper.

    Makes 8 balls.
