  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour

Directions

    Combine eggs, milk and shortening in mixing bowl; add flour and salt and beat until mixture is smooth.

    Pour into hot, greased custard cups or hot iron muffin pans.

    (Cups should not be more than 1/2 full.)

    Bake at 425° for 40 minutes.

    Yield: 8 to 12 popovers.
