  • 1 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    Stir; do not beat.

    Batter will be lumpy.

    Divide batter equally between 6 or 8 greased custard cups or popover tins. Put into cold oven. Set temperature to 450°. Bake 30 minutes. Resist the impulse to peek!

    Batter can be made ahead and refrigerated.
