- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 5 qt. popped corn
- 8 1/4 oz. almonds
- 10 oz. pecan halves
Directions

1Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in heavy saucepan; bring to boil, stirring constantly.

2Boil without stirring 5 minutes; remove from heat.

3Stir in vanilla and baking soda.

4Pour mixture over corn and nuts; quickly stir until well coated.

5Pour mixture into 2 (9 x 13-inch) pans.

6Bake at 250° until dry, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes. Remove from oven; spread apart if necessary.

7Store airtight. Makes 5 1/2 quarts.
