Poppy Seed Nut Bread

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. Mazola oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. poppy seed filling (canned)
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (black walnuts are great)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350° (325° for glass pans).

    In a large bowl, beat together sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla.

    Add flour, baking soda, salt, evaporated milk, poppy seed filling and nuts.

    Pour into two well-greased loaf pans.

    Bake for 60 to 70 minutes.
