  • 1 lb. ground round steak
  • 1 tsp. minced onion
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. tomato puree or soup
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix uncooked rice and meat with the seasonings.

    Shape into small balls.

    Place in deep baking dish and cover with the tomato puree.

    (A bay leaf, a small amount of onion, salt and pepper may be needed to season the tomato puree.) Bake at 350° for 60 to 80 minutes.
