Pork And Macaroni Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground pork or half sausage and pork
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked
  • 2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Cook pork, onion and garlic in oil until onion is golden.

    Add tomato sauce and paste, mushrooms and seasoning.

    Simmer 15 minutes.

    Alternate layers of macaroni, cheese and meat in greased 2-quart casserole.

    Sprinkle top with cheese.

    Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 45 minutes.
