  • 4 lb. chuck roast (2 to 3 inches thick)
  • 2 medium size onions
  • 4 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 3 or 4 large potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. Millers beef flavor (no beef cubes)

Directions

    In a 3-quart pan, fill with 2 quarts of water.

    Trim fat off meat and cut into large pieces.

    Add onions and Millers seasoning. Cook for 3 hours.

    Remove meat.

    Cut vegetables and add to broth; cook for 1/2 hour.

    Add meat and cook for 15 minutes and serve.
