  • 3 lb. boneless chuck roast
  • 3 onions
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pkg. instant onion soup
  • 4 carrots
  • 8 potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • garlic powder

    Brown meat in oil.

    Put in an 11 x 13-inch pan.

    Cut onions in half, carrots in 2 to 3-inch pieces and potatoes in quarters. Place vegetables and spices on meat. Mix instant soup and water. Add to pan. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 2 to 3 hours until meat is fork-tender.
