  • 1 (3 to 4 lb.) boneless chuck roast
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. fresh mushrooms
  • 1 lb. carrots, cut up
  • 4 to 5 potatoes, cut up

Directions

    Place mushrooms, carrots and potatoes in the bottom of a Dutch oven or roasting pan.

    Place roast on top of vegetables; spread mushroom soup over roast and sprinkle with dry onion soup mix. Cover and cook in a 300° oven for 2 to 3 hours or until it forks tender.
