  • 4 to 5 lb. pot roast
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 c. parsley, chopped
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. tomato juice
  • 1 c. dry red wine

    Cover and bake at approximately 325° until tender or for about 4 hours.
