Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. bouillon
- 5 lb. beef pot roast
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 tsp. mustard
Directions

1Combine onion, garlic, bouillon, tomato sauce, salt and pepper.

2Pour over meat in a large bowl.

3Marinate overnight in refrigerator.

4Heat shortening in heavy skillet, remove meat from marinade and brown on both sides in hot fat.

5Blend catsup, vinegar, Worcestershire and mustard into marinade and pour over meat.

6Cover pan and simmer until meat is tender, about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

7Gravy may be thickened slightly.
