- 6 good sized potatoes
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg
- 1 pt. sweet milk
- 1/2 c. yeast
Directions

1Boil six good sized potatoes with their jackets on.

2Take them out with a skimmer.

3Drain and squeeze with a towel to ensure being dry.

4Remove skin and mash them perfectly free from lumps. Add a tablespoon of butter, one egg and a pint of sweet milk. When cool, beat in half cup yeast.

5Put in just enough flour to make a stiff dough.

6When the mixture rises, make into small cakes.

7Let them rise the same as biscuits.

8Bake to a delicate brown.
