- 1 1/2 pkg. yeast
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 3 potatoes
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 to 6 1/2 c. bread flour
Directions

1Peel potatoes; cook in boiling water until done.

2Mash in liquid.

3Remove two cups and heat until warm.

4Add yeast to 1/4 cup of potato mixture.

5To remaining 1 3/4 cups potatoes, add shortening, sugar and salt.

6Add yeast mixture and 1/2 cup flour. Beat.

7Gradually add remaining flour.
