- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/3 c. instant potatoes
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

2Measure sugar, shortening, salt and instant potatoes into a large bowl.

3Add hot milk; stir to melt shortening.

4Beat in eggs and 1 cup flour.

5Mix in yeast and enough flour to make a soft dough.

6Shape into ball and sit in warm place for 1 hour.

7Knead on floured board and roll about 3/8-inch and make into desired shapes.

8Let rise again to desired heights.

9Bake in 350° oven for about 20 minutes.

10Makes about 4 dozen.
