- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and grated or 36 oz. shredded hash browns, thawed
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. chopped green onions
- 1/2 c. cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 pt. (2 c.) sour cream
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. cornflake crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
Directions

1Melt 1/2 cup butter and saute green onions.

2Add soup, salt, sour cream and cheese.

3Using 3-quart Pyrex pan, layer potatoes in pan evenly.

4Gently stir in sauteed mixture.

5Melt 2 tablespoons butter and mix in cornflake crumbs.

6Pour over top of casserole and bake at 350° for 1 hour.

7Serves 8 to 10.
