- 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- salt
- paprika
- 3 c. scalded milk
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. American cheese slices, diced
Directions

1In 3-quart saucepan, melt margarine.

2Add potatoes, onion, salt and paprika.

3Cook until vegetables are lightly brown and tender.

4Add milk and cheese; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is hot and cheese is melted and smooth.

5Spoon into 4 soup bowls and sprinkle with paprika.

6Serve with assorted crackers.
