Potato Dish Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can Durkee fried onions (small)
  • 1 pkg. frozen Crispy Crowns or Tater Tots (potatoes)
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. broccoli (small florets)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 c. milk

Directions

    Line ovenproof casserole dish with potatoes.

    Bake at 400° for 10 minutes, uncovered, until potatoes are browned.

    In a large skillet, brown ground beef; add broccoli, soup thinned with the milk, 1/2 of the shredded cheese and 1/2 can of fried onions. Heat through.

    When potatoes are done, remove from oven and lower temperature to 350°.

    Fill with meat and vegetable mixture; cover and put back in oven.

    Bake for 20 minutes.

    Five minutes before done, remove lid; sprinkle on rest of cheese and onions and cook remaining 5 minutes uncovered.
