  • 1/2 c. unseasoned warm mashed potatoes (instant)
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 6 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • sesame seed or poppy seed (optional)

Directions

    Put warm water (105° to 115°) in a bowl.

    Sprinkle yeast over the warm water.

    Add sugar and salt, stirring until dissolved. Let stand until mixture starts bubbling.
