- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 5 to 6 c. flour
Directions

1Cream shortening, sugar and salt.

2Add eggs and potatoes; blend well.

3Add milk to creamed mixture.

4Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water; add to rest of mixture.

5Stir in enough flour to make a fairly stiff dough.

6Turn out on floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.

7Put in greased bowl, cover and let rise until double.
