  • 1 cup, 2-2/3 teaspoons, 7/8 pinches Milk
  • 1 cup, 2-2/3 teaspoons, 7/8 pinches Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter, Plus Extra To Grease The Baking Dish
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Finely Chopped
  • 2 pounds, 3-1/3 ounces, weight Potatoes, Sliced
  • Salt And Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Grated Cheese

Directions

    Boil the milk and cream in a large saucepan. Add butter and finely chopped garlic. Add sliced potatoes and cook for about 5 minutes. The dish becomes thick as potatoes release starch. Then add salt and ground black pepper.

    Meanwhile prepare the baking dish. Grease it with butter. Put the potatoes into the baking dish and sprinkle it with cheese. Bake until golden brown.

    Before serving, allow to cool slightly.
