- 1 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 1/2 boxes 10x sugar
- 9 eggs
- 4 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
Directions

1Preheat oven at 325°.

2Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Sift flour and salt together and add to mixture a little at a time until blended well together.

5Add flavoring. Place into a well-greased and floured cake or tube pan.

6Cook for 1 1/2 hours or until cake springs back when touched.

7Cool and remove from pan.

8Wrap well in foil or place in a tightly fitted cake container.
