- 1 c. butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
Directions

1Bring butter and eggs to room temperature.

2In a mixing bowl, sift together flour and baking powder.

3In mixer, beat butter for 30 seconds.

4Add sugar to butter, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating on medium to high until light and fluffy.

5Beat in vanilla and almond extract.

6Add eggs one at a time, beating one minute after each addition.

7Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating on medium speed until combined.

8Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

9Bake at 325° for 55 to 65 minutes or until cake is done.

10Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes.

11Remove from pan.
