  • 2 sticks butter (1/2 lb.)
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Add flour and baking powder alternately with milk.

    Add lemon flavoring and vanilla.

    Pour into tube pan and bake at 325° for approximately 1 hour.
