  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. cake flour (Swans Down)
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
  • 5 eggs

Directions

    Cream sugar and shortening with hand.

    Beat in one egg at a time with mixer.

    Add flour and milk, then vanilla and lemon. Cook at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Do not open door until time is up.
