  • 2 sticks margarine (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 c. Crisco (at room temperature)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract

    Cream margarine and Crisco.

    Add sugar, beating until well blended.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Sift flour and baking powder. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.

    Add flavorings. Pour into a large tube pan which has been greased and floured. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
