- 1 stick butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 2 3/4 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 pt. whipping cream
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 c. self-rising flour (sift 3 times)
Directions

1Have all ingredients at room temperature.

2Whip butter and Crisco until well blended.

3Add sugar.

4Beat until well blended. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg.

5Add small amount of flour and a small amount of cream (4 parts flour and 3 parts cream).

6Preheat oven at 325° and bake 1 hour.
