  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/3 c. Crisco (cream)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 3 tsp. lemon flavoring

Directions

    Cream together 2 sticks soft butter, Crisco and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Sift all-purpose flour, salt and baking powder together.

    Add to batter with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.

    Add flavoring.

    Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325° for about 1 1/2 hours.
