- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- vanilla flavoring
- lemon flavoring
Directions

1Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together.

2Beat eggs slightly and add to cream mixture.

3Sift flour 3 times, adding baking powder and salt to the third time.

4Add flour to creamed mixture alternating with milk.

5About halfway through when adding flour and milk, add flavoring.

6Mix well.

7Pour into greased and floured tube cake pan.

8Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

9Check with toothpick after an hour before removing from oven.
