  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 5 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon

Directions

    Cream the shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Add milk and flour alternately.

    Put in greased and floured tube pan. Bake in a 325° oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes without opening oven door.

    This makes a very large cake.
