- 8 medium or 10 small eggs
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 lb. butter (1/2 butter, 1/2 margarine)
- 2 2/3 c. sugar
- 3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
- 8 Tbsp. coffee cream or Carnation
- 1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
Directions

1Separate eggs.

2Whip whites with 6 tablespoons sugar.

3Place in refrigerator.

4Cream softened butter and add sugar gradually. Add egg yolks two at a time.

5Stir in flour and cream alternately. Add flavoring.

6Fold in beaten egg whites (this is important). Bake in greased tube pan 1 1/2 hours at 300°.
