- 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. lemon
- 4 c. plain flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. baking powder, sifted with flour
- 1 c. half and half cream
Directions

1Cream butter and shortening well.

2Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

3Add eggs one at a time.

4Blend in half and half cream.

5Gradually add flour.

6Add flavorings and beat again.

7Pour in greased and floured tube pan.

8Bake at 325° for about 1 1/2 hours or 1 hour and 45 minutes.
