- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 c. sugar, sifted
- 5 large or 6 small eggs
- 2 c. cake flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Whip butter and sugar until creamy.

2Stir in eggs, beat one at a time.

3Add flour and vanilla, mix well.

4Bake in tube or loaf pan (well greased and floured) at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake leaves sides of pan.

5Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
