- 2 sticks butter
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. pure lemon juice
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2Grease and flour a tube cake pan. Cream butter and sugar together.

3Add eggs, one at a time, into butter mixture.

4Sift flour with salt and baking powder in separate bowl.

5Beat in with electric beater 1/3 flour mixture and then 1/3 milk into butter mixture until all ingredients are used. Add vanilla and lemon.

6Beat until creamy.

7Bake 1 1/2 hours. Cool at room temperature before turning out of pan.
