  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. flour

Directions

    Beat margarine and sugar together until creamy.

    Beat in salt and vanilla until smooth.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one.

    Add the flour a bit at a time and beat very, very, very well.

    Pour into a greased, floured tube pan or bread pan. Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until a straw or knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

    Makes 1 small cake.
