  • 1 3/4 c. sugar, sifted
  • 2 c. sifted cake flour
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. almond extract

    Cream butter and sugar well.

    Add one egg at a time.

    Beat well after each egg.

    Add lemon juice and almond extract.

    Sift in (fold in) flour.

    Bake in paper lined stem pan at 300° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
