- 2 sticks corn oil whipped margarine (room temperature)
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1 c. milk (room temperature)
- 5 eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon
Directions

1Cream margarine, Crisco and sugar.

2Add 1/2 each of the flour and milk.

3Add eggs, one at a time.

4Add flavoring.

5Add remainder of milk and flour.

6Place in well-greased cake pan, dusted with flour.

7Place in cold oven.

8Bake at 325° for 1 hour.

9Increase heat to 350° and bake for 1/2 hour.
