  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. unsifted cake flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. sweet milk

Directions

    Cream butter, sugar, Crisco and vanilla.

    Add eggs, milk and flour (alternately).

    Cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 275°.

    Start in cold oven.

    Check for doneness and cook longer, if needed.
