Praline Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 2 c. praline powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 meringue shells
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped

Directions

    Melt chocolate and butter in 1-quart saucepan over medium heat.

    Cool slightly.

    Beat together egg yolks and praline powder for 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened.

    Add chocolate mixture and blend thoroughly.

    Add salt to egg whites.

    Beat until peaks form.

    Stir in whipped cream.

    Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Spoon into meringue shells.

    Garnish with chocolate leaves or curls, as desired.
