Pretzel Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 c. thin pretzels (not sticks)
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 small pkg. Cool Whip
  • 1 large pkg. strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 large pkg. frozen strawberries

Directions

    Crush pretzels to make 1 cupful.

    Mix with sugar and very soft butter.

    Pat into a 9 x 12-inch casserole.

    Bake 10 minutes at 350°; cool.

    Mix softened cream cheese with sugar, then fold in Cool Whip.

    Gently pat onto the cool crust.

    Dissolve package of strawberry Jell-O in 2 cups boiling water, then add 1/2 cup cold water.

    Add frozen strawberries.

    When this begins to jell, spoon gently over cheese layer.

    Refrigerate; cut into squares before serving.
